About the location:
The Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences at Puerto Rico is a collection of 139 hotel rooms and 84 private residences. Situated on 483 acres with two miles of beach frontage, award-winning golf, an expansive wildlife sanctuary, nature trails and a lagoon complete with paddle boarding, fishing, and a water playground.About the role:
The Senior Director of Information Technology delivers the Information Systems & Technology vision, strategy and execution over multiple locations. This multi-unit technology manager will have a direct financial and operational benefit to each of the serviced ownership entities with a proven track record of managing a team and diverse vendors and systems across different businesses with different management. Each property has very specific and individual IT support requirements to support the individualized services and staff at each location.
The successful Senior Director of IT shall have strong skills and experience across five core competencies:
Business Acumen: A relationship manager with strong communication skills and the ability to innovate, influence and lead Hotel and Residential management as well the Property Owner groups through complicated IT rojects, planning and decisions.
Financial Management: Ability to understand, communicate, analyse and manage financial matters related to IT such as budgeting, forecasting, procurement, negotiation and contracting. The Senior Director of IT is able to complete business cases for projects with a technology component and provide return on investment and cost avoidance analysis for ownership to review.
Security & Compliance: Leads multi-unit Operations to ensure privacy and PCI regulatory, legislative and brand compliance
Technical Skills: Technical leadership and skills with the ability to coach, mentor, teach and grow technical skills to Property IT professionals.
Talent Development: Leading a team of local IT resources requires strong mentorship and development skills. Ability to performing as a designated trainer for other regional properties to assist the Area Directors in onboarding new talent.
What you will do:
As a leader in property IT operations, travel and educate new talent on brand IT standards as a designated trainer.
Maintain harmonious and professional relationship with all multiple management teams at multiple properties as well as Home Office.
Must be able to assist hotel guests with technical requirements and issues.
Actively participate in monthly Senior Director of IT conference calls and share ideas and best practices.
Experience in Project Management, hospitality and residential applications, PMS, HSIA, POS, is preferred.
Ensure critical systems, specifically Front Office Property Management System, Call Accounting, HSIA, PABX and Food & Beverage Point of Sales and Residential computer systems are available twenty-four (24) hours per day.
Maintain accurate records of system files; software and hardware issues and service requirements.
Maintain effective support for end user support process, other systems, including back office, sales & catering and human resources applications or any other property application.
Knowledge of specific hospitality industry applications and interfaces (i.e. Opera, Delphi, Back Office, Spa, HR systems, etc) is desirable.
Responsible for network support & security of Hotel network, Active Directory maintenance, Server Infrastructure maintenance, Network Infrastructure maintenance – wired & wireless, Network protection & failo
What you bring:
University or College degree – major in IT or Hospitality Management – or equivalent experience.
Minimum ten years of experience as Hotel Director of IT managing a team preferred
Project Management and knowledge of hospitality applications, PMS, HSIA, POS are assets.
