Senior Director of Organizational Talent Partnerships

**Job Description:**
Fairfield University is renowned for its undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs. Building upon that success, the Senior Director of Organizational Talent Partnerships will identify and develop new relationships with corporations and non-profits to facilitate upskilling and reskilling for these organizations. These partnerships include providing access to Fairfield’s existing educational programs, but importantly the Senior Director of Organizational Talent Partnerships will work with leaders within companies to identify strategic priorities, skills and competencies that require talent development solutions, including custom learning programs.
Fairfield University’s existing in-person, hybrid and online learning programs can be used as the basis for providing custom learning solutions that are attenuated to a particular organization’s needs.
**Specific Responsibilities**
+ Identify and interact with prospective clients including corporations, professional services firms, healthcare organizations, non-profit entities and other organizations to cultivate strong client relationships and build a portfolio of educational programs to growth aligned with Fairfield’s mission and values. Total revenue responsibility is $1 – 3 million per year.
+ Collaborate with academic directors, program directors and faculty for successful pursuit and delivery of education programs.
+ Support the implementation of the corporate education and talent strategy in collaboration with the Vice President for Strategic Initiatives at Fairfield University.
+ Develop and respond to requests for proposals, presentations, and negotiations of contracts for education programs.
**Qualifications**
+ Master’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
+ A minimum of 5 years of experience in business-to-business sales.
+ Outstanding strategic consultative selling skills.
+ Strong skill set in understanding and communicating business issues and objectives.
+ Excellent knowledge of business functions (marketing, finance, accounting, operations) and business strategy.
+ A background in organization development, instructional design, executive training or consulting experience is preferred.

+ Excellent social, communication and interpersonal skills with superior customer service skills.
+ Ability to interact well with program participants and to interface at all levels of the University.
+ Ability to work independently and take initiative along with a strong ability to work collaboratively in matrixed environment.
+ Excellent communication skills including presentation and writing skills and excellent ability to communicate with senior executives.
+ Strong ability to distill complex academic information into marketing communications.
+ Strong analytical skills needed to conduct market and strategic analysis as well as assessing the impact of business development initiatives.
+ Strong understanding of financial fundamentals to build and manage the client portfolio.
+ Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
+ The position will involve travel, onsite client visits and may include evening and occasional weekend work hours during client programs
