Role Summary

The Senior Director of Growth leads strategic growth across global PMC businesses, driving both organic and inorganic growth initiatives. This role partners with Product Line leaders and cross-functional teams to:

Identify new markets and business opportunitiesShape and operationalize go-to-market and investment strategiesBuild and own a robust & actionable M&A pipeline for PMCEnsure disciplined capital deployment and business case development

Key Responsibilities

1. Growth Initiatives

Define and refine mid- and long-term growth strategies – including market entry, partnerships, portfolio expansion- in close partnership with PL leadersOperationalize strategy into execution plans – in close partnership with Product Line and functional leadersDrive disciplined capital allocation decisions through:Financial modelingRoI and risk/opportunity analysisPrioritization of internal investment projectsPartner cross-functionally (Engineering, Product, Commercial) to align operational capabilities with growth targets

2. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

Support corporate M&A efforts by:Developing a robust and actionable deal pipelineIdentifying strategic action fields for inorganic growthCraft compelling strategic rationale and business cases for potential acquisitions

3. Strategic Enablement & Cross-functional Influence

Serve as a trusted advisor to the PMC President and senior leadership team to actively shape PMC portfolio strategyInfluence investment, operational, and commercial decisions through:Data-driven and operational insightsMarket intelligenceFinancial clarityEnsure a disciplined approach to value creation—knowing when to double down and when to walk awayConfidently challenge assumptions while remaining open to diverse perspectives

Qualifications

15+ years of experience in rail or a comparable industrial sectorMinimum 5 years in a senior leadership role, with global scopeDeep knowledge of the rail industry, preferably rolling stockExperience managing cash and capacity in rail or in an equivalent operationally intensive environmentStrong track record in M&A: from deal origination through to integrationFinancially fluent—comfortable with business cases, capital deployment, RoI modelingProven success in working across diverse, global stakeholder environmentsExceptional communication, influence, and leadership capabilities
