General Purpose:
The Senior Director, Human Resources Business Partner – Global Retail plays a key role in aligning the HR function with the overall global retail business strategy and objectives of MillerKnoll. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Talent & HR this role builds relationships across the MillerKnoll enterprise to positively impact the business’ ability to perform successfully, build a strong community and enhance the associate experience for our stores, distribution centers, and corporate retail teams across the globe. In addition, this role will be critical in supporting our global retail expansion plan. This role is based in our Stamford, CT office and requires the ability to travel depending on business needs.
Essential Functions:
•    Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the overall business strategy and contribute to long-term organizational success, which includes long-range planning, priorities, and budgeting.
•    Collaborate with key leaders to understand their business needs and develop solutions that support their goals and leadership in a changing, competitive environment.
•    Manage and develop a high performing HR team to provide strategic consultation to the business and ensure implementation of policies and practices across countries and a matrixed organization.
•    Build a strong partnership with our HR COE leaders (i.e.: Talent Acquisition, Associate Relations, Talent Management, Belonging, etc.) to drive a sustainable and strategic people strategy that supports the short- and long-term needs of the business.
•    Create a lifecycle approach to talent management focused on development, performance management, workforce planning, and talent retention.
•    Leverage internal and external data, trends, analytics, and insights to accurately identify and prioritize talent risks and opportunities.
•    Champion associate engagement in partnership with business leaders.
•    Promote and oversee associate relations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures and correct documentation to promote strong associate relations.
•    Ensure understanding and application of HR related legislation and compliance issues across multiple geographies.
•    Support and encourage the company’s belonging and community goals.
•    Maintain and monitor the budget.
•    Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related field preferred.
•    7+ years’ experience in a variety of human resources disciplines working in a global organization
•    Retail HR experience is required; ideal candidate has experience in leading expansion efforts

•    Strong ability to build a culture of engagement, followership, and belonging.
•    Ability to demonstrate a growth mindset and highly skilled with ambiguity.
•    Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. 
•    Demonstrated high level of integrity, business ethics, and ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
•    Fluent in office automation, communication, software, and tools used in HR systems.
•    Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally without restrictions.
