ContextUS Consumers experience a vast amount of complexity in managing their healthcare – from time and cost finding the right therapy to a fragmented journey filled with unwelcome surprises. Yet as consumers, our patients expect personalized and seamless engagement like those they have in banking, retail, and travel. The bar has been raised even higher in healthcare as the pandemic drove reliance on digital solutions and new digital natives emerged. This has resulted in an increased level of investor funding for virtual care providers, alternative models for distribution, and integrated health / wellness solutions. However, solutions today focus on specific points in the patient journey, versus a comprehensive, end-to-end patient experience.
Given the degree of market fragmentation, evolving pharmacy landscape with increasing pressures from PBM margins, and buoyed by strong performance, Lilly is uniquely positioned to take the lead and provide this more integrated, end-to-end patient experience. Through this, Lilly aims to improve patient access to care, help reduce the cost of healthcare, and support patients in improving outcomes.
