Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Sr. Director, Capture Management to lead our capture functional homeroom. This position will be ideally based in Falls Church, VA but open to El Segundo, CA, or Melbourne, FL. This role does require travel to other major Aeronautics Systems sites.
This position will lead our team of capture leaders who are pursuing multiple billions of dollars of opportunities through our business acquisition process both domestically and internationally.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience successfully leading large captures, including extensive experience with customer engagement, strategy development, resource planning, and acquisition processes. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading diverse cross-functional teams, be a strong communicator, and be able to work successfully within classified and unclassified areas. The candidate will collaborate with leadership at all levels as well as business functions.
The Sr. Director, Capture Management will work as a core part of our Strategy and Growth Leadership team, hardline reporting to the NGAS Strategy and Growth Sector Vice President.

Developing clear and concise Win Themes and Value Propositions for the capture and understanding the customer marketplace, stakeholder customer organizations and budgets to identify market drivers and trends and develop strategies.Maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and functional organizations involved in program capture.Executing sector processes and strategies that result in an increased capture PWin and improved capture win rate.Leading the development of briefing materials and responses for the VP of S&G, including ELT briefings, Deep Dives, monthly business reviews, and Sector Gate Reviews.Ensure accuracy and consistency of the Customer Relationships Management (CRM) tools (Salesforce) and process standards of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP).This position is accountable to:
Continuous improvement of capture metrics (Capture maturity metrics). Identify, track and report new business metrics. Lead the implementation of actions to improve efficiency and business growth outcomes.Ensuring the capture teams are following the BAP and assessing their role performance on the capture team in developing the necessary artifacts in accordance to the BAP RACI, driving to gate reviews, proposals, and requisite reviews.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and 12+ years' relevant experience (Military, Defense or Federal Civilian) OR a Master’s degree and 10 years’ relevant experience (Military, Defense or Federal Civilian).Extensive knowledge, experience, and success in leading and winning captures of large-scale opportunitiesMinimum of 8 years directly running a capture and a minimum of 10 captures executed of capture size at least $250 millionDemonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary business development, strategy development activities.Current/active DoD Secret clearanceAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance.Ability to lead local and geographically dispersed teams and ability to travel up to 50% per month.Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge, experience, and success in leading and winning captures of large-scale opportunitiesOver 15 years directly running a capture and over 15 captures executed of capture size over $1 billionHaving been a trainer in advanced capture courses Active Top Secret/SCI clearancePrimary Level Salary Range: $223,300.00 - $387,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
