Senior Director - Asset Optimisation

Role description:

The role will support the AO head of practice in delivering a step-change in growth of the practice, both in terms of revenue and client base.

The job holder will promote awareness and understanding of the AO practice’s propositions, including the development of thought leadership, marketing material, and proposals. 

The job holder will focus on delivering strategic property advice to public & private sector clients, including:

SPVs, Lenders & Investors Financial Institutions Retailers Developers Industrial Manufacturing Technology Central Government Local Authorities Defence Education Health

The practice is also responsible for leading opportunities associated with PPP / PFI, including handback, and is developing propositions to address the demand for a further wave of private investment in social infrastructure.

Reports to the AO head of practice and manages a team of senior-level direct reports.

Role accountabilities:

As a member of the AO senior leadership team, work with the head of practice to drive the performance of the practice in line with the growth strategy Build and convert  the pipeline of opportunities associated with AO Lead and develop trusted-advisor relationships with clients, enabling compelling pursuits that respond to client needs  Shape and win work that can be delivered profitably  Further develop the AO offering, including elements of the proposition, and associated tools and materials Recruit, develop, and lead a consultant team, setting objectives and managing performance, ensuring that the team has the resources and capability to achieve the business plan Establish and agree key performance targets and financial budgets for the team in line with set objectives Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching to the team Further industrialise elements of the AO proposition to differentiate Arcadis, including the use of Arcadis’ offshore capability (the GEC) Manage and deliver project performance and take appropriate action to ensure that client expectations and Arcadis’ objectives are met or exceeded 

Qualifications & Experience:

The job holder will be expected to have knowledge and experience across a number of the following areas:

Property-focused consultancy delivery or equivalent  Leading complex projects  Managing business relationships at the board level Directly influencing client behaviours and decisions  Bringing global expertise to clients Asset life cycle modelling/replacement and backlog Benchmarking / should cost modelling TOTEX optimisation Working with multi-disciplinary teams and delivering major programmes or portfolios of work Championing innovation, digital tools, and sustainability-led asset strategies Ability to generate cross-sales from existing client base  Public and private sector client landscape Facilities Management advisory Portfolio strategy PFI advisory, including handback Likely to be a degree-qualified property professional or with full membership of IWFM / RICS or other professionally related organisation Master’s degree or other qualifications (business-related disciplines) are advantageous
