Position Summary 

The Value Delivery Office Lead is a senior IT leader responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and governance of strategic technology initiatives across the enterprise. This role ensures alignment between IT delivery and business priorities, driving measurable value and improved outcomes. 

 

Reporting directly to Strategic Value Office Lead, the VDO Lead guides the work of portfolio managers and program managers. This leader is accountable for embedding delivery excellence, improving throughput and quality, and ensuring technology investments align with enterprise strategy and regulatory standards. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

Strategic Alignment: 

Ensure all initiatives align with the organization's strategic goals and deliver maximum value to customers.  

Collaborate with executives, business owners, and enterprise architects to make informed decisions 

Lean Portfolio Management: 

Facilitate strategic portfolio review and synchronization events  

Coordinate Agile portfolio operations to identify bottlenecks and optimize workflows. 

Operational Excellence: 

Promote lean governance and measure the performance of value streams. 

Implement continuous improvement practices and drive systemic improvements.  

Stakeholder Collaboration: 

Work closely with the Agile Center of Excellence to support transformation initiatives. 

Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transition and integration of new value streams. 

Leadership and Development: 

Lead and mentor a team of Agile professionals 

Provide ongoing training and support to enhance the core competency.

Minimum Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field (Advanced degree preferred) 

10+ years of experience leading complex IT programs or portfolios, preferably in healthcare or regulated industries 

Demonstrated experience managing large cross-functional teams and technology investments 

Strong knowledge of Agile, hybrid, and traditional delivery methods 

Familiarity with value stream and product-based delivery approaches 

Proven track record of aligning IT initiatives with strategic business objectives 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

Experience in IT transformation  

Experience with value stream mapping and optimization 

Knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and data/AI governance 

Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) 

PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP, ICP-PPM) are a plus
