Senior Director, Real Estate
We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-Valley **Position Overview:** Leads the real estate function system wide, including all transactional work associated with the acquisition and disposition of lease and owned real estate assets on behalf of Sutter Health and its affiliates. Manages and directs a professional staff of licensed real estate project managers, real estate co-brokers & agents, and other consultants in meeting the business plan objectives of the affiliates. Coordinates with other personnel in asset and facility management to manage and track the real estate assets of affiliates, manage selected third-party lease administration firms that actively manage affiliate real estate portfolios, and manage title company relationships for acquisition, disposition and other real asset title issues. Oversees the selection, coordination and review of various third-party real estate co-brokers and consultants as necessary. Accountable for the management and oversight of Sutter Health's corporate real estate license. Manages and provides oversight of the physician leasing program. Oversees the Implementation of Sutter Health's monetization program as well as all merger and acquisition due diligence associated with real estate. Coordinates with both outside counsel and the office of general counsel (OGC) attorneys for transaction documentation, and other real asset-related work. **Job Description** : **EDUCATION:** _Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._ + Bachelor's: Real Estate, Finance or related field **TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:** + 12 years recent relevant experience. **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:** + In-depth knowledge of health care facilities, real estate regulations and law, cost analysis and contract negotiation. + Working knowledge of real estate product types, lease structure variations, due diligence processes for real estate acquisition, land use & zoning codes, construction methods and materials, building operating systems, budgeting and scheduling concepts and procedures. + Understanding of how facility design, location and amenities affect staff performance and the efficiencies that support the business goals of the institution, as well as current trends in healthcare facility development and facility designs impacting patient care and operating efficiency. + Knowledgeable of the general processes of local regulatory agencies for the review and approval of building projects, municipal discretionary approvals, and project coordination/management. + Verbal and written communication skills, solid interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities and work group facilitation skills. Demonstrated human resource management skills including the ability to attract, retain, motivate, develop and manage performance of staff. + Demonstrated negotiation skills balancing attention to details with an ability to operate strategically. + Must exhibit leadership skills and the ability to initiate and maintain clear communications. + Demonstrated ability to lead teams, delegate tasks, manage and balance multiple interests, and resolve conflicts. + Consultative skills to gather needs and translate requests into potential solutions. + Client relationship management skills to maintain positive relations between facilities & properties department and affiliate leadership. **Job Shift:** Days **Schedule:** Full Time **Days of the Week:** Friday, Monday, Thursday, Tuesday, Wednesday **Weekend Requirements:** As Needed **Benefits:** Yes **Unions:** No **Position Status:** Exempt **Weekly Hours:** 40 **Employee Status:** Regular Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans. Pay Range is $85.47 to $136.76 / hour _The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
