We’re #hiring for Senior Director Quantitative Science. This global leadership role leads a multidisciplinary team and will establish highly differentiating quantitative science capabilities at the intersection of data science, biology, and clinical development across all business units of dsm-firmenich. You’ll be instrumental in driving the data science foundation for scientific discovery and product innovation through data analytics and modeling– from early target identification and disease modeling to clinical trial analytics, product claims support.

Your key responsibilities

 

Lead a team of bioinformaticians, statisticians, and data scientists to deliver high-impact insights across discovery and development.  Attract and retain top talent and ensure their professional development.Develop and implement data science strategy and roadmap for the AI-assisted nutrition, health, and beauty in alignment with Business strategy. Responsibilities including but not limited to overseeing data analytics & modeling for target ID and MOA studies by integrating multi-omics and high-throughput screening data; guide development of computational disease models; lead clinical trial  data foundation, analytics, and interpretation, ensuring statistical rigor and regulatory readiness; drive data analysis for meta-analyses, systematic reviews, and evidence synthesis & product claims across internal and external knowledge baseFoster relationships and actively collaborate with partnering multidisciplinary Science & Research and Business Innovation teams to drive value creation and impact.Define and secure IP related to data models and data science methodologies in alignment with IP StrategyMap the Competitive Landscape and maintain current awareness of industry trends and innovative methodology.

You bring:

Minimum 10 years of relevant post-graduate work experience along with minimum 5 year of relevant  experience in the life sciences industry requiredDeep expertise in high-dimensional data analysis (such as transcriptomics, proteomics, metagenomics), statistical modeling, and trial analyticsProven experience in clinical trial data support, real-world data analytics, and evidence generation for regulatory or commercial purpose.  Strong understanding of biological pathways, pathophysiology, host-microbe interactions, microbiome, and system-level modeling required.Track record managing cross-functional teams that span various projects, multiple locations, and external collaborations and extensive track record of people development and team leadership, preferably with global teamsDemonstrated agility and ability to drive prioritization based on business needs and deal with competing prioritiesMaster’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Genomics, or a related field required; PhD in these fields of study a strong plus

 

The salary scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and primary work location. Salary $185,000-$250,000

 

In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits. All benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements.
