A day in the life.
As our Senior Director Platform Strategy, you will lead teams consisting of managers, technology administrators and contract workers both onshore and offshore responsible for supporting and managing a suite of enterprise insurance and agency management applications. While the Applied Systems (Epic) Platform will be your core focus, you will also oversee other critical systems such as Vertafore’s Sagitta, Image Right as well as the Salesforce Platform and all associated third party SaaS solutions. You will work closely with corporate Agency Management Program leads, IT, Service Delivery, BRM and operational stakeholders across MMA to ensure seamless support, integration, migration, and ongoing optimization of these platforms. Your role will involve strategic planning, team leadership, colleague and leader development and hands-on technical oversight to facilitate platform consolidation, migration, and continuous improvement. This key leader reports to the Enterprise Applications and Service Delivery Lead on the IT Senior Leadership Team and is responsible and accountable for the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Primarily Accountable and Responsible for Platform Service Delivery and Support across MMA including but not limited to Applied (Epic), Vertafore (Sagitta), Salesforce (MMAForce), SaaS, and associated integrations.
Leading technology leaders and teams in delivering and supporting effective and efficient MMA Business solutions.
Collaborating as a key MMA Technology Leader in the strategic planning and development of maturity roadmap(s) development and execution toward continuous improvement.
Vendor Management: Responsible for the management of vendor partner delivery of service performance, value and
Financial Oversight: Manage team budgets and financial operations, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet project and departmental goals.
Engage, collaborate and actively contribute as a key leader in the Applications & Service Delivery Leadership Team in support of MMA National Technology.

Extensive leadership and management experience of leaders, staff and contract workers in support and delivery of IT AMS Insurance Platform Services driving business value at scale and providing mentorship, performance management, and strategic guidance.
Integration Experience: Proven track record of successfully integrating disparate systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability to enhance overall business processes.
Vendor Management: Proven experience in managing the IT AMS Insurance Platform relationship for both support and development (e.g. Vertafore-Sagitta, Applied-Epic);
Experience managing relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, including contract negotiation, evaluating performance, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
Standards and Protocols: Experience in establishing and enforcing coding standards, security protocols and performance benchmarks.
10+ years of in-depth technical experience supporting enterprise insurance and agency management systems, including Applied Systems (Epic and TAM), Vertafore (Sagitta and ImageRight)
Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring technical teams supporting multiple platforms.
Strong understanding of system installation, configuration, administration, and performance optimization across various insurance management solutions.
Experience with system integration, API management, and third-party application interfacing.
Knowledge of system security best practices, data privacy regulations, and compliance standards.
Proficiency with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and server virtualization.
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, manage system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with attention to data integrity and system accuracy.
Experience supporting data migration, data mapping, and cleansing across multiple systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
Proactive in staying current with system updates, new features, and industry best practices.
Ability to foster collaboration across cross-functional teams
These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience (preferred).
10+ years of experience managing technical leaders & teams
Familiarity with the Applied suite of tools such as CSR24, Indio, Applied Pay, and other integrated solutions to support comprehensive agency management and client service workflows.
Experience with system migrations between different AMS solutions such as Sagitta, Vertafore, and other enterprise insurance platforms, including data mapping, cleansing, and ensuring data integrity throughout the migration process.
Experience supporting system integrations, data consolidation, and platform support during mergers and acquisitions within the insurance industry.
Hands-on experience managing cloud servers and infrastructure, including provisioning, configuration, scaling, and performance optimization in platforms such as Azure, AWS, or other cloud providers.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $126,000 to $220,500.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
