Senior Director, Performance and Strategic Transformation

JLL is growing its Canadian business to deliver world-class service to clients, including sophisticated commercial real estate owners, investors and occupiers. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Director, Performance and Strategic Transformation to join our Property Management leadership team in Toronto. The Senior Director will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to elevate and accelerate JLL Canada’s existing quality and continuous improvement programs. Our program aims to ensure that we have the Best Platform to support the Best People to deliver for the Best Clients in the commercial real estate industry. To deliver on this vision, our work processes must be efficient and continuously improving; cost reductions must be achieved; and a strong culture of continuous improvement must be present across our Property Management division.

This position will be a key member of the JLL Canada leadership team, with particular emphasis on driving performance across a sizable Canadian portfolio of industrial, multi-family, office and retail assets. The Senior Director will report into the EVP, Strategy & Growth. This role is based out of the Toronto office with periodic travel to various sites to champion quality and continuous improvement efforts and programs (estimated 25% travel).

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for quality management and continuous improvement initiatives across the property management functionAlign quality and improvement efforts with overall business objectives and property management goalsSet overall quality strategies and establish quality management and performance standardsProvide clear direction and leadership to the Quality & Continuous Improvement departmentKeep current with trends and developments in quality management and continuous improvement

Project Management Office (PMO):

Establish and lead a PMO within the Property Management divisionDefine PMO structure, methodologies, and best practices tailored to property management needsImplement project portfolio management processes to prioritize and align initiatives with strategic objectivesDevelop standardized project management tools, templates, and reporting systemsOversee the PMO's efforts in monitoring project performance, resource allocation, and risk managementEnsure work/projects are completed on schedule and within budgetPrepare reports and present findings to management and clients on quality performance and cost-reduction results

​Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within property management operationsLead cross-functional teams in implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodologiesComplete process and value stream mapping exercises, including both current and future states, to identify opportunities for improvementDrive innovation and best practice sharing across the organizationInitiate, recommend, monitor, trend and report on corrective actions to ensure quality is delivered across processes

​Quality Management:

Design and implement quality management systems and processes, including a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS)Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and monitor quality standardsEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulationsGather and analyze data to evaluate effectiveness of QMSConduct internal quality audits to confirm that quality standards are met, and solutions are effective

​Change Management:

Develop and execute change management strategies to support the adoption of new processes and technologiesFoster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation among property management teamsImplement and oversee change management processes for quality initiativesDevelop strategies to overcome resistance to change and ensure smooth adoption of new processes

​Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate with senior leadership to align quality and improvement initiatives with business strategiesPartner with property managers, operations teams, and clients to understand needs and implement solutionsPresent progress reports and recommendations to executive leadershipServe as an internal advisor regarding tasks, projects, and operationsMaintain client and supplier relationships, and seek feedback to identify opportunities for further improvementCommunicate quality performance and improvement initiatives to all levels of the organization

Team Leadership:

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of quality and improvement professionalsFoster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning within the departmentTrain and coach the team and the Property Management division on quality and continuous improvement techniques, including defining requirements and preventing defectsDevelop and mentor team members to enhance their skills and capabilities in quality management and process improvementPromote a project management culture that promotes accountability, efficiency, and successful project delivery

WHAT YOU BRING:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, and/or Master's degree preferredRelevant certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Change Management ProfessionalMinimum 10 years of progressive experience in quality assurance, continuous improvement, or strategic transformation roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership positionProven track record in implementing and managing quality management systems, continuous improvement initiatives, and internal audit programsExtensive experience in project management, including leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-faceted projectsDemonstrated success in developing and executing change management strategiesExperience conducting and overseeing internal audits to evaluate organizational effectiveness and complianceExperience in world-class manufacturing is an assetBilingualism in French and English is an asset
