Senior Director, General Manager APAC Distribution

General Manager, DAP is responsible for leading and driving the strategic development and expansion of our distributor channel strategy and business in APAC (for all brands), and the implementation of a consistent Global Partner Retail Strategy and Model that drives brand expansion, sustainable sales and profitable growth. This role partners closely with regional leadership and brand leadership to establish strategy related to the engagement, management and development of our distribution partners.

Obsessive about the consumer and distributor ecosystem and maintains a deep understanding of the APAC landscape.

50% Strategic Leadership and Program Development

•    Design the strategy and lead implementation of the APAC Distributor and Partner Retail Plan, inclusive of the following components: distributor/partner selection and approval process, budget, retail agreements and contract management, store processes and procedures, store design, site approval, reporting and partner store metrics and KPI's.
•    Lead the short and long term planning process, budgeting, forecasting and scorecard development
•    Monitor progress against plans, promote partnerships across functions
•    Lead analysis and recommendations for the takeover of markets from Distributors, including the P&L projections, cost assessment, organizational structure required, etc. Lead change management process.
•    Lead the centralization and management of regional Strategic Accounts, managing them from central regional office 
•    Explore with global eCommerce team the possibility to develop our digital capabilities across the region, leaning in to drive the business, while recruiting and partnering with distributors with the knowledge, capabilities and financial solidity to build our brands
•    Lead partner selection process to ensure new stores are aligned with brand, retail and regional long-range plans
•    Develop partner retail expansion plans for select partner territories to include key cities and locations within cities
•    Be a key strategic partner to regional GMs and members of Brand leadership teams 
•    Analyze and advise on marketplace landscape for expanding brand-right distribution opportunities 
•    Analyze current business to ensure quality trade partners and the maximization of trade partnerships through business plan development
•    Collaborate with regional heads to lead the development of emerging opportunities to cultivate future revenue streams
•    Leverage regional business analysis in advising on business planning recommendations for future growth and opportunity 
•    Manage Distributor Channel product line merchandising process to ensure style/sku efficiency and adequate support of key brand initiatives.
•    Determine correct models/concepts for each partner depending on partner/regional needs, franchise laws and necessary level of DTC and Brand alignment

40% Team Leadership

•    Foster a team culture that emulates the Deckers experience; support and infuse Deckers’ values across the team
•    Instill and reinforce the highest standards for collaboration and teamwork across the Deckers’ brand portfolio, with the goals of identifying synergies, fostering idea sharing, and establishing common goals for profitable growth and continuous innovation
•    Develop, motivate, mentor and retain top talent; engage the team in ways that will facilitate the achievement of strategic objectives, as well as individual professional development plans
•    Identify and communicate key responsibilities and practices across functions to promote a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork across departments to achieve business results

10% Financial Management

•    Establish and ensure accountability against Distributor and Partner Retail KPI's relating to revenue, store build-out, real estate criteria, and product diversity
•    Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure financial targets are met sales, Margin, Opex, Operating Income
•    In charge of the DAP LRP aligned with Global LRP ambition.
•    Responsible for Marketing budget optimization to create high demand.
•    Analyze financial data to make informed decisions that drive profitability and growth.
