The Senior Director, ERP Applications enables and supports the achievement of CoreCivic's business goals by providing overall technical and functional leadership for CoreCivic's end-to-end, comprehensive and seamless set of ERP capabilities, technologies and platforms to drive digital transformation, continuous improvement, integration automation, application security, regulatory compliance, and end-user support. Serves as the primary liaison between Technology and the Finance, HR, Real Estate, Payroll and Supply Management Departments with respect to the ERP system functions including accounting, finance, tax, document management, financial reporting, human capital management, payroll, capital asset management, supplier management, procurement, strategic sourcing, and inventory management.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
The incumbent should be able to perform the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.
1. Works closely with business and technical leadership, serving as an expert resource, bringing forth opportunities to leverage ERP initiatives to meet organizational goals. Provides direction to ERP Business Analysts who are aligned and integrated with stakeholder departments.
2. Maintains relationships with stakeholder departments and ensures all deliverables and support is provided in the context of assisting stakeholders in meeting their business goals. Leads the ERP Steering Committee responsible for driving the end-to-end solution roadmap, facilitating business case development and coordinating project prioritization.
3. Responsible for efficient and effective ERP development including quality, testing, audit, change control and customer satisfaction elements.
4. Responsible for enabling new functionality, implementing system upgrades and data conversions, as well as providing batch and real-time integration between the ERP and third-party sources.
5. Adheres to and manages regulatory (e.g., Sarbanes Oxley) and policy compliance processes around the ERP application suite in addition to maintaining contractual and information security best practice requirements (e.g., NIST 800-53).
6. Responsible for ensuring present and future resource planning needs are met including vendor management, staffing, outside consultants, software, hardware, and budgeting, in addition to keeping current on advances and trends in ERP management.
7. Supervises staff in the performance of their duties and evaluates as prescribed by company policy. This includes but is not limited to: training new employees, evaluating performance and preparing written performance appraisals, providing talent development, setting and monitoring goals, listening to concerns and effectively resolving disputes or issues, taking corrective or disciplinary action, developing work schedules for staff and approval leave requests.
8. Responsible for leading resolution of escalated issues and risks in a timely manner by driving resolution of escalated issues, including but not limited to, guiding team, reviewing/communicating alternatives, including advantages, disadvantages and recommendations.
9. Follows the CoreCivic program management methodology and works collaboratively with all team members to provide technical, functional, and analytical guidance to project teams. Serves as project manager on small to medium sized ERP projects delivering on schedule, within budget and meeting technical and business requirements.
10. Domestic U.S. travel may be required.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
· Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technology field, or related discipline is required. Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field preferred.
· Seven years of complex ERP leadership in the areas of platform implementation, project management, ERP development and/or ERP business process improvement is required. Experience in technology strategic planning is required.
· Strong business and financial acumen including experience with technology contracts and vendor management is required. Experience related to helpdesk support, production application support and critical situation root cause assessment and analysis oversight are required. Experience with ERP functionality for publicly traded geographically diverse and large ($1B+) organizations preferred.
· Recent experience with IT architecture including SaaS, cloud, and ESB preferred.
· Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to mentor and motivate technical staff and to influence up to C-level executives in an efficient manner.
· Strong interpersonal, communication and client relationship skills.
· Ability to work under pressure, delivering to high standards within tight deadlines.
· Proficiency in ERP Applications (Oracle JD Edwards or comparable) and Microsoft Office applications is required.
· A valid driver’s license is required.
