Senior Director, Enterprise Operational Control and Compliance Testing

Our Impact:
The Enterprise Business Risk & Control Office is a new team at Freddie Mac responsible for facilitating efficient, effective, and consistent management of non-financial risks across Freddie Mac’s first line divisions. We are building a highly motivated team that enjoys driving change and identifying improvement opportunities and solutions. The Centralized Testing group within this team is accountable for executing operational control and compliance testing for all businesses and functions across the firm.  

Your Impact:

In this role, you will be an integral part of forming and optimizing centralized operational, control and compliance testing for the firm. You will be expected to:

Supervise the Centralized Testing team, establish strategic priorities and goals, and manage resources to achieve objectives and deliver high-quality work productsCollaborate with division risk officers to develop divisional testing plans, communicate results and advise on remediation or improvement opportunities as neededEvaluate firm-wide testing needs and create a streamlined consolidated enterprise plan with aligned resourcesAugment testing practices and procedures; maintain a well-controlled testing function with consistent execution across the teamDrive innovative thinking and implement opportunities to leverage AI and automation capabilities to improve efficiency in control testing executionPartner with Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit on tactical results and future combined assurance strategiesAttract, develop, and retain staff with focus on identifying opportunities for career growth and skill expansion


Qualifications:

15+ years of related professional experience with 8+ years people managementCollege Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferredExtensive experience in control testing, audit or other risk management or assurance functionsDemonstrated ability to lead a team and promote a culture that emphasizes resiliency, adaptability, and efficiencyStrong planning and execution skills and ability to influence othersHighly effective communication and conflict management skillsAbility to facilitate innovative thinking to solve problems and make decisionsBroad knowledge of the firm and its key functions

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $229,000 - $343,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
