Senior Director, DTC Business Operations

Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025. Reporting to the VP, Content Strategy, this leader will join a new team responsible for developing MSNBC's direct-to-consumer products. We're looking for a proactive, versatile Business Operations leader who has experience launching new consumer-facing products and strategic initiatives.  The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and can architect and lead a lean, versatile and innovative team. Their primary aim will be to implement the strategic vision of MSNBC's subscription business. They will build and champion the operations function for MSNBC's direct to consumer businesses, ensuring the successful functioning of the subscriber growth engine and the timely launches of new content and product initiatives. This leader will collaborate with a diverse set of internal stakeholders at MSNBC and VERSANT, including marketing, business development, product, finance, and Corporate operations and technology.  Key Responsibilities:  + Stand up a lean Operations function, including the tools, communication channels and systems necessary for effective project management + Help to develop and execute the roadmap for a successful DTC business launch, partnering closely with product, technology, and subscriber growth leads + Ensure initiatives launch on time and with excellence by setting and maintaining project plans, clearly defining deliverables, and effectively leading by influence + Stand up and manage critical workstreams, ensuring clear communication across organizational matrix + Expertly manage multiple viewpoints, build consensus, and move projects forward effectively and efficiently  + Proactively identify gaps, blockers, and dependencies; effectively drive risk/issue management and problem resolution  + Partner with research and data strategy teams to create and manage regular financial and operating reports + Manage shared objectives and key results for the direct-to-consumer business + Support the execution and maintenance of external partnerships (e.g., bundling, distribution platforms)   + At least seven years' experience in business operations and program management + At least three years' experience in managing operations teams within the context of a subscription business, preferably in the media, technology, and/or news space + Exceptional organizational skills and experience managing highly matrixed organizations + Highly proactive self-starter. Versatile builder and implementer. Clear communicator.
