As the Senior Director of Distribution, you’ll lead the charge in building and optimizing the systems that move our business. Your work ensures that our rapidly growing network of Distribution Centers not only keeps up—but sets the pace. From creating scalable strategies to empowering high-performing teams, you’ll directly impact how product gets to our stores, customers, and communities.
Your Day Consists Of
Leading a national distribution centers footprint, setting strategy and driving execution across all locationsCollaborating cross-functionally with merchandising, store ops, international logistics, and 3rd party partnersShaping operational quality and compliance programs to meet evolving standardsGuiding future warehouse needs as our store count and customer demand continue to growOverseeing budget planning, performance metrics, and operational scorecards with a “no surprises” mindsetCoaching and developing distribution centers leaders while fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovationYou’ll Be Successful With
10+ years of leadership in large-scale distribution, logistics, or supply chain operationsExperience scaling distribution networks across millions of square feet—ideally in fast-paced retail or consumer goods environmentsA process-driven mindset, grounded in continuous improvement tools like Six Sigma, Lean, and KPIsThe ability to translate high-level strategy into actionable outcomes across people, systems, and processesStrong negotiation and communication skills, paired with a collaborative approach to cross-functional leadershipA sharp eye for cost reduction, operational efficiency, and growth-oriented transformationMinimum Eligibility Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Engineering (MBA or advanced engineering degree preferred)10+ years of relevant work experience in Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Quality and LogisticsExperienced in developing, managing, and executing Distribution and Supply Chain strategies, including DC setup and network growth strategiesPrevious experience building Distribution organizationsPossess good process experience/judgment and the ability to recognize key problems before they become major issues. Capable of recognizing opportunities that translate to bottom-line improvementA demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally within the company, as well as globally with suppliers and 3rd party firmsA visionary who understands the big picture and can develop programs and processes that capture the true potential and opportunities that may exist – an “Out of the Box Thinker”Ability to lead change and effectively establish high-performing teams by being a role model with high-performance standardsStrategic thinking skills, including ability to make sound business judgments related to supply management philosophies and initiativesExcellent communication skills (i.e., verbal, written, development and delivery of presentations)Well-developed and proven negotiating skillsDirect knowledge of integrated ERP systems and world-class supply chain practicesGood understanding of statistical methods, quality tools and methodologies (i.e., QFD, CTQ, DFSS, SPC, AQP, FMEA, Control Plan)Experience implementing cost reduction programsTactical planning skillsKnowledge of forecasting systemsSound knowledge of retail preferredTraining in Six Sigma is a plusKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles desiredEssential Job Functions
Continue to develop, enhance and communicate our overall distribution vision and strategy. Develop new creative ideas regarding philosophy, policy, process and systems that need to be formalized and agreed to across all functions involved in distribution. This vision and business strategy should include initial steps and goals, as well as long-term direction. It should also involve the ideas and thoughts of others throughout the organization.
Responsible for the operational leadership of distribution centers required to meet company growth projections and customer service requirementsLead and manage distribution teams in implementing distribution best practicesEvaluate and plan for future warehousing needs given the projected future growth of the companyIntroduce advance supply chain, continuous improvement, and distribution/logistics tools/methodologies in order to help F&D deliver results in store fulfillment, quality, cost, inventory management and safetyEvaluate distribution projects including productivity, inventory, manpower and workflowsDrive operational efficiency improvements, cost reduction efforts, and streamlining initiative across the company’s distribution and logistics networkPrepare and submit annual budgets, business plans, strategic plans, monthly operating reports, operating goals/objectives and other management scorecard metrics to senior leadership to maintain a “no surprises” environmenSubmit financial and other management score card metric information to senior leadership and maintain a “no surprises” environmentResponsible for the management and safety of people resources through good practices, employee appraisal systems, implementation of compensation and benefit programs, communication systems, and performance management techniquesDocument and share “best practice” methods, processes and ideas across the business’s distribution network to drive continuous improvements in all aspects of business operationsWork with Merchandising and vendors to establish pallet and labeling standardsEnsure the effective leverage, utilization, and implementation of its current and future operating systems related to the management of F&D’s North American distribution sitesWorking Conditions (travel, environment)

Store Support Center Associates
Provide leadership and support training on all Safety programs, processes and procedures, insuring that every associate is properly trained for their position.
Follow established Safety procedures in all aspects of work assignments applicable to the position. This includes participating in all Safety related training and acquiring certifications. Each associate is responsible for Safety at the Store Support Center and when visiting other company work locations. All Safety concerns must be brought to the attention of the management of a location and/or the Store Support Center Safety Department immediately.
