What is the opportunity?
As a strong Operational Risk leader, you will be accountable for the independent risk management oversight of Business Continuity Risk globally across all business segments and functions. In this leadership role, you will provide risk management expertise, advice and counsel to executives and senior management enhancing their ability to anticipate and manage BCM risks effectively.
What will you do?
Own all 2LOD activities related to business continuity risk such as:
setting Bank wide risk appetite for Business Continuity Riskarticulate minimum risk management requirements on these topics through ownership, development, and maintenance of BCM policies and standardsProvide advice and council on how to manage this riskDeliver independent oversight and challenge on the Bank’s risk management activitiesProvide an outside in perspective on emerging Business Continuity risks in this spaceEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements such as OSFI’s E-21 Operational Risk and Business Continuity requirements or FFIEC guidelines related to resilience and continuityWhat do you need to succeed?
Must-have
10-15 years deep Business Continuity Risk experienceProven track record of building strong relationships across business functionsStrategic mindset, with excellent knowledge and understanding of RBC businesses and organizationHighly developed ability for conceptual thinkingRegulatory engagement experienceNice-to-have
Broad understanding of other resilience risks such as cyber and technology or third party riskIndependent risk management experience (2LOD)What’s in it for you?
