We are seeking a talented and highly analytical Digital Marketing Analyst to join our marketing team. This is a crucial role for an individual who thrives on using data to drive informed decisions and optimise digital marketing performance. In addition to traditional digital marketing analysis, a key aspect of this role will be the design, implementation, and optimisation of email marketing workflows within Adobe Campaign, ensuring targeted and effective customer communications. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in consolidating and presenting key digital marketing performance metrics as part of our monthly KPI reporting.
You will be central to turning complex data into actionable insights, helping us to understand customer behaviour, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and identify opportunities for growth across all our digital channels.
Requirements:
Digital Marketing Performance Analysis: Monitor, analyse, and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns across various channels (e.g., SEO, PPC, Social Media, Email, Display, Affiliates). Identify key trends, opportunities, and issues from performance data, providing actionable recommendations for optimisation. Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports to track KPIs and present findings to stakeholders. Conduct in-depth audience segmentation analysis to inform targeted marketing strategies. Perform A/B testing and multivariate testing on campaigns and landing pages to improve conversion rates. Analyse website traffic patterns, user journeys, and conversion funnels using tools like Google Analytics. Work closely with channel managers to interpret data and translate insights into practical campaign adjustments.Adobe Campaign Email Workflow Development: Design, build, and deploy complex, multi-stage email marketing workflows within Adobe Campaign. Configure and manage customer segmentation within Adobe Campaign to ensure highly targeted email sends. Develop and execute A/B tests within email campaigns to optimise subject lines, content, send times, and calls-to-action. Monitor email campaign performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, unsubscribe rates) and provide detailed analysis and recommendations for improvement. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to email campaign delivery or data integration within Adobe Campaign. Ensure compliance with POPIA and other relevant data privacy regulations in all email marketing activities. Collaborate with content creators and designers to ensure email assets are correctly integrated into workflows.
KPI Reporting & Insights: Own the collation, analysis, and presentation of the digital sections of the monthly marketing KPI deck. Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across all digital marketing reports. Present clear, concise, and actionable insights to marketing leadership and wider business teams. Develop bespoke reports and ad-hoc analysis as required to support business objectives.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in digital marketing analytics and marketing automation.
Rhythmyx CMS Support and Build: Using the content briefs to support the page build alongside the Marketing Specialist within the CMS Rhythmyx. Support the Marketing Specialist to update and improve content using content briefs - as and when necessary.Skills & Experience:
Proven experience (typically 2-4 years) in a Digital Marketing Analyst, Marketing Analyst, or similar data-driven role. Demonstrable hands-on experience designing and building email marketing workflows and segmentation (preferably within Adobe Campaign). Strong proficiency in web analytics platforms, particularly Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Experience with other digital marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, social media analytics platforms). Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions. Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides for data manipulation, analysis, and professional reporting/presentations. Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and tools. Understanding of key digital marketing channels and their associated metrics (SEO, PPC, Social Media, Email). Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical stakeholders. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Familiarity with POPIA and data privacy best practices.Desirable (but not essential):
