Job Description Insight Global is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Hanover, MD. The ideal candidate is a seasoned DevOps professional with proven expertise in the Department of Defense cloud infrastructure with strong working knowledge in Kubernetes and container orchestration, configuration management, CI/CD, automation, AWS, Linux systems administration, scripting in Bash and programming in Python, and a background in big data solutions. Responsibilities Include: - Support development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS. - Support development and deployment of non-cloud (Edge) infrastructure of on-premise and portable equipment. - Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services. - Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS. - Collaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure. - Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues as necessary. - Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance. - Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, continuously exploring new ways to improve our infrastructure. The compensation range for this position is between $130,000 and $180,000 depending on experience, clearance, and other factors. Skills and Requirements - Active Top Secret Security Clearance - Bachelors Degree and 9+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or related roles or a Masters Degree and 7 years/High School Diploma and 13 years of experience - Must have a DoD 8140 / 8570 compliant certification (e.g. Security+ certification) - Strong Knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and their application to deployment and management of infrastructure. - Proficient knowledge of Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting. - Proficient in configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible - Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL databases, including administration and troubleshooting - Experience with application, container, and OS deployment, scaling, and management. - Ability to develop in multiple programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go. - Familiarity with Git, Flux, and other development and deployment tools. - Experience with big data technologies like: Hadoop, Spark, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, Presto, etc. - Experience with containers EKS, Diode, CI/CD, and Terraform are a plus null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
