The unit Digitalization of Services & Core Systems are supporting mainly BASF service units with differentiated solutions/IT products and providing platform product and services to BASF group globally. This means, offering new and innovative services, that help them meet BASF Group growth targets.

In the product team Legal, Tax & Compliance you consult our Internal Business Partners as well as operating divisions or service units with technical questions.

The IS DevOps Engineer understands functional solution designs and translates them into technical designs and realization. You are responsible for the design and development of functional or technical applications or the enhancements to existing applications. You have deep knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, implementation and development of new software and in database technology. You are expert in different programming languages (e.g. ABAP, SQL, JAVA) and ideally you have also good knowledge of UX development (e.g. SAP Fiori, mobile Apps, UI5)

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Management of complex development environments using both internal and external resourcesTechnical and functional design and implementation of application enhancements and new applications for BASF Tax Compliance Management processesDevelopment of those application by using state-of-the-art design and programming methods and ensuring compliance with all relevant BASF guidelines for developmentEnsures runnable, supportable and stable solutions from a technical point of view together with operationsContributes to planning and provides cost estimations for complex projectsSupports creation of (functional) Solution Design DocumentsSupports testing and error correction activitiesContributes to act according the agile values and principlesSelf-organized working within our product oriented working approach(optional) Experience in agile methodologies e.g. SCRUM, KANBAN etc.

REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required with preference in Information TechnologyAt least 2 years professional experience in a Technical or Business Consultant role, as software designer, developer or consultant)Excellent analytical skillsExperience in development with CDS viewsExperience in working with EclipseGood innovative orientationOpen to learn new technologies and collect new skillsStrong knowledge in database design and developmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong proactive thinkingHigh developed ability to foster sustainabilityHigh ability to collaborate for achievementGeneral knowledge about taxation (also in SAP - common tables, fields, transactions, etc.)Good language skills in English (written and spoken) and willing to extend the skills
