Job Description The Senior DevOps Engineer role involves leading initiatives to understand and address the needs and challenges of software development teams, implementing developer tools and automating workflows, participating in strategic planning, and providing technical leadership and mentorship related to developer experience. Skills and Requirements * Extensive experience in software development, developer tooling, and automating developer workflows. * Expertise in optimizing GitLab platform management to enhance developer workflows, focusing on implementing efficient practic es in version control, CI/CD integration, and containerization to streamline operations and improve overall developer productivi ty. * Proficiency in programming languages and scripting languages relevant to automating developer workflows. * Familiarity with version control systems, CI/CD tools, and containerization technologies. * Deep understanding of developer experience principles, tools, and workflows. * Experience in leading and mentoring teams of developers or engineers. * Strong technical leadership, mentorship, and collaboration abilities. * Prior experience using OpenShift and AWS EKS for deployments and containers (will be helping with migration from OpenShift to AWS EKS) This is a mentoring role for a brand new team.
