Senior DevOps Engineer
Industrial Color
About Us
Globaledit, a division of CoCreativ, is the leading SaaS platform for creative production workflow management. Our platform empowers top brands, retailers, and entertainment companies to collaborate more efficiently and bring content to market faster. We are expanding our product team to build new features, improve platform usability, and integrate emerging technologies that drive creative productivity.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and system monitoring. This role is ideal for someone who is highly autonomous, thrives in complex problem-solving, and is passionate about building resilient, scalable serverless systems.
You’ll play a critical role in ensuring our engineering teams can deploy code safely and efficiently, while continuously improving our AWS environment and DevOps processes. This role requires someone who’s just as comfortable rolling up their sleeves to debug a critical incident as they are stepping back to identify long-term architectural improvements or cost optimization opportunities.
What You’ll Do
+ Own our AWS serverless infrastructure, including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, S3, ECS, EFS, Route 53, and CloudFront.
+ Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, primarily in Azure DevOps (or comparable tools like TeamCity, GitHub Actions, etc.).
+ Debug and resolve infrastructure issues end-to-end, understanding how data flows through our system and proactively identifying points of failure.
+ Implement and lead best practices for monitoring, alerting, and incident response using Datadog.
+ Establish and manage DevOps backlogs, priorities, and tasks independently, without needing constant direction.
+ Champion operational excellence by driving initiatives that reduce incidents, improve observability, and increase deployment confidence.
+ Collaborate closely with backend and frontend engineering teams to support deployment, configuration, and production readiness of new services.
+ Identify opportunities for cost savings and infrastructure right-sizing and drive those initiatives through to completion.
+ Contribute to documentation, process improvement, and DevOps tooling—leveraging automation wherever possible.
+ Stay current on AWS advancements and DevOps best practices, applying them to continuously improve our platform.
Requirements
Who You Are
+ 7+ years of DevOps or SRE experience, with at least 5 years in a Senior or Lead role.
+ Deep knowledge of AWS services, particularly in serverless architectures.
+ Strong understanding of how data flows through cloud-based systems, and where failures are likely to occur.
+ Proficient with CI/CD pipelines—experience with Azure DevOps is preferred, but equivalent tools are acceptable.
+ Skilled in debugging, root cause analysis, and proactive infrastructure monitoring, ideally using Datadog.
+ Comfortable with coding and scripting (C#, NodeJS, Bash, etc.) and able to build infrastructure solutions hands-on.
+ Self-starter—you take initiative, organize your work, prioritize effectively, and don’t require micromanagement.
+ Calm under pressure during incidents, but focused on preventing them through automation and systems design.
+ Excellent communicator who can explain technical problems and solutions to various stakeholders.
Nice to Have
+ Advanced AWS knowledge and certifications
+ Experience with SRE practices, SLOs, SLIs, and service monitoring
+ Cost optimization experience in AWS environments
+ Previous experience building observability systems with Datadog from the ground up
+ Hands-on development experience from ideation to production deployment
+ Comfortable coding solutions without over-reliance on AI coding tools, but savvy in using them for productivity when appropriate
Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this role is $150,000 - $175,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.
