The Role & What You Will Be Doing

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Senior Developer - Salesforce Marketing Cloud role will make an impact:

Lead / Own the design and implementation of scalable SFMC solutions.

Lead / Own as IT liaison to the business, understanding business requirements, solutioning of business needs and transferring business requirements to development team.

Serve as subject matter expert for the channel enablement platforms, able to lead conversations about the functionality offered currently and what could be solutioned for future. As the SME role, candidate should showcase the tools and “how to” for existing and new capability.

Working with REST/SOAP APIs, FTPs, and external data sources.

Conduct code reviews and enforce development best practices. Provide best practice recommendations for marketing automation.

Responsible for the design and documentation associated to SDLC delivery.

Collaborate and engage with appropriate technical support teams for resolving application-level issues impacting business partner operations.

Acts as an internal consultant with the goal of improving processes and identifying opportunities for innovation through building and maintaining relationships with functional leaders.   

Maintain current understanding of trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and investment levels in relevant business processes.                    

Provide direction to project and program manager(s) in overcoming hurdles and moving projects forward by proactively mitigating open issues and project risks; maintain consistent communication channels between all vested parties (steering committee, business sponsors, IT stakeholders, project team, etc.); lead organization change management efforts in areas of responsibility.

Lead and mentor SFMC developers, consultants, and administrators.

About Your Skills & Experience

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

8 – 10 Years of SFMC project and development experience across email, SMS/Instant messaging and other channels covering initial setup, journey creation and automation.

Hands on development experience is a must, with expertise to develop and optimize data models, audience segmentation, and automation strategies.

Experience in Email, SMS/Instant messaging (Sinch), Mobile and web studio.

Prior experience with Salesforce Marketing solutions required.

Prior marketing automation system experience required.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator and Consultant Certification preferred.

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Marketing required.

Fluent English.

Good interpersonal skills.
