Overview ****Please note: this role is hybrid - in office 3 days a week - at one of our local offices in: Allentown, PA or Providence, RI.** **Purpose** The IT Metering Senior Developer as a key member of the IT Metering team, provides technical and vendor management skills to develop and maintain metering applications (meter reading, meter test, wholesale settlement, meter data management) and associated software interfaces. Anticipated to work on a variety of projects, with business and IT counterparts to achieve business outcomes. Senior developer has a continuous learning mindset, is comfortable with IT technology, proven software development skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Develop and implement applications, databases, software, integrations, firewall rules, security, testing, code migrations, Project Management, with Agile Framework skills. 2. Working with On Shore and Off Shore team members, System Integration vendors, Application vendors, IT support organizations, and business teams. 3. Install new versions of Desktop software available to team members and business users. 4. Implement, test, and deploy software integrations (file transfers, Java/APIs, Agile) 5. Create additions and adjustments to the batch schedule in Automic. 6. Actively champion data quality needed to achieve business goals. 7. Actively work system and software performance to achieve business goals. 8. Understand, implement, and test Security features. 9. Analyze complex issues and work to resolution. 10. Create application monitoring, maintenance, and documents. 11. All activities done in a manner to meet SOX compliance. Participate in annual SOX audits. 12. Follow standard PPL processes including System Access and Change Management 13. Work in an iterative/agile environment and be a strong team player 14. Hands on with metering specific hardware for field meter reading and meter testing. 15. All other duties and projects as assigned Qualifications **Required Qualfications:** **Education:** + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related major or an alternate combination of education/experience which results in equivalent job knowledge. Experience: + Minimum of five years’ related experience + Proficient in or a proven ability to learn a variety of technologies (Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, Azure Integration (Kubernetes, Micronaut, Java, APIs), Microsoft Office applications, SaaS/Cloud applications). + Experience with database programming and application Integration programming. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience with LWC/Java, Azure Dev Ops, Automic, ITIL, Linux Command Shell, integrated development environment. + Experience with metering applications or related applications. + Prior experience with any of these applications/technologies or related systems: + Itron MV90 + IFS FieldNet Drive By/Walk By Meter Reading + Landis+Gyr Meter Data Management System + Landis+Gyr Command Center + Metering Wireless Mesh Networks + WiSun + Radian/Weco Watt Net Plus – Meter Testing and Inventory system **Required Qualfications:** **Education:** + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related major or an alternate combination of education/experience which results in equivalent job knowledge.
