We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Developer with over 10 years of experience in software development, architecture, and enterprise solution design, with a focus on low-code/no-code platforms, specifically Innoveo. This role is part of a strategic modernization initiative within the Life Insurance Line of Business and will be instrumental in delivering agile and scalable digital solutions.
In addition to Innoveo expertise, the candidate should have a strong background in cloud technologies (AWS), data visualization (Power BI), and exposure to Python and Generative AI (GenAI). The role also requires hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines, SonarQube, and automation scripting to support enterprise-grade software delivery.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of applications using Innoveo and other low-code/no-code platforms.Translate complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and secure application components.Develop and maintain reusable components, templates, and libraries to streamline Innoveo implementations.Build dashboards and reports using Power BI for actionable business insights.Leverage AWS cloud services (e.g., Lambda, S3, RDS, EC2, CloudFormation) for solution integration and deployment.Create and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and release cycles.Apply SonarQube for code quality and maintainability across platforms.Develop and manage automation scripts for system monitoring, deployment, and configuration.Incorporate Python scripting and GenAI capabilities into workflows to enhance automation and user experience.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, DevOps, and solution architects.Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and regulatory standards.Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in software development, solution architecture, and systems integration.Strong hands-on experience with Innoveo or similar low-code/no-code platforms.Proficiency with Power BI for data visualization and analytics.Practical experience with AWS Cloud Stack and cloud-native architecture.Understanding of CI/CD pipeline development using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions,Experience with SonarQube for static code analysis and code quality enforcement.Scripting skills for automation using Python and shell scripts.Exposure to Generative AI tools or platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, LangChain).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.Previous experience in the Life Insurance or broader insurance domain preferred.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.Experience integrating Innoveo with external systems via APIs and cloud services.This position works at the Kemper office.The range for this position is $86,200 to $143,600. When determining candidate offers, we consider experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location among other factors. This job is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and Kemper benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401k, etc.)
