Senior Developer, Sourcing Development, Apparel
**About Your Role** We are looking for a highly skilled **Senior Sourcing Developer** with a deep understanding of vendor management and product development in the apparel industry. In this role, you will be responsible for strategically allocating styles to vendors, managing the end-to-end product development process, and leading initiatives aimed at process improvement and meeting various business requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of vendor capabilities and product intricacies, coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive successful outcomes. **Your Responsibilities Will Include (but not limited to):** + **Product Development Process:** Lead the end-to-end product development process, including calendar building, vendor management, and product replenishment. + **Calendar Management:** Ensure strict adherence to the brand development calendar, proactively identifying and resolving issues in collaboration with your manager. + **Vendor Collaboration:** Partner with vendors to ensure consistent product quality, timely sample execution, and effective issue resolution. + **Strategic Execution:** Execute brand product development strategies and coordinate with internal teams and vendors to deliver results. + **Work Plan Implementation:** Implement and monitor work plans, prioritizing actions with internal and external stakeholders. + **Data Analysis:** Analyze internal and vendor performance data to generate insights that support continuous improvement and process excellence. + **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with Planning, Global Materials Supply, Logistics, Technical Design, and Quality teams to meet brand objectives. + **Communication:** Communicate confidently with stakeholders, using data to support your views and proactively address development concerns. + **Continuous Improvement:** Participate in company-wide initiatives to promote VF’s purpose and enhance supply chain systems and processes. **Leadership Expectations** **Strategic Leadership** + Understand and communicate the organization’s vision and strategic goals. + Identify opportunities to improve effectiveness through cross-functional collaboration. **Growing People & Teams** + Support team development through coaching and feedback. + Encourage collaboration and shared learning. + Lead by example in continuous improvement and adaptability. **Driving Results** + Execute aligned processes to achieve objectives. + Anticipate and resolve issues that may impact team performance. **Partnership** + Build strong relationships and ensure transparent communication. + Provide constructive feedback and align with cross-functional goals. **Qualifications** + Proven experience in product development of knitted and woven apparel, vendor management, and sourcing within the apparel industry. + Strong analytical and decision-making skills. + Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement. + High learning agility and adaptability in a fast-changing environment. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to manage multiple tasks independently. + Passion for product and a curious, open mindset. **Education & Work Experience** + **Academic Degree:** Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. + **Experience:** Minimum 3 years in sourcing, preferably in the apparel industry. + **Languages:** Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin. + **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Airtable; familiarity with Smartsheet, Power BI, Tableau, Power Query is a plus. + **Platforms:** Experience with digital platforms for product development and process efficiency is highly advantageous. **What You Can Expect from Us** + Be part of a purpose-led business that positively impacts communities worldwide. + Work with a diverse and inclusive team that values global perspectives. + Enjoy a best-in-class work environment, well-being policies, and workplace flexibility that supports your emotional, physical, and social well-being.
