**WHAT SKILLS ARE NEEDED**
**What does that look like?**
Australian accredited 4-year engineering degree.
• Detailed exposure to large-scale process/machine control systems (PLC/SCADA) for iron ore handling plants such as car dumpers, stackers, reclaimers and conveyors.
• High familiarity of BHP port asset control systems to effectively lead teams for PLC/SCADA code development, testing and on-site commissioning.
• Interface with other disciplines/3rd parties to develop/review drawings, functional descriptions/specifications, commissioning test plans and related documentation.
• Ability to follow client standards and apply to specific solutions.
• Contribute to project documentation such as execution
• Communicate effectively with management, co-workers, clients, vendors and other stakeholders.
• Provide mentoring to less experienced engineers/designers.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems with attention to detail.
• Participate in bid preparations, tender evaluations and related project activities.
• Incorporate health, safety, and environmental factors in design activities, particularly in relation to functional safety of control systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
