Description Position is located in Annapolis Junction, MD (National Business Park) Amazon Web Services is looking for technical Cloud Consultants to put hands-on-keyboard building cloud-based solutions that advance the customer's mission and help them modernize. This position is for a highly technical consultant — ideally with AWS or cloud skills — that can dive deep and work with customers to develop, deploy, and optimize their cloud-based solutions. This position will work directly with the customer, both in and out of the customer's facilities. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) experience - 7+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience - 5+ years of software development with object oriented language experience - 3+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience - 7+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience - Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience Preferred Qualifications - AWS experience preferred, with proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation) - AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred - Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python) - Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) - Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences - Experience leading a team(s) of developers, architects or administrators that deliver technical capabilities to US Government customer(s). The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
