Responsibilities:

 

Oversee the administration of SAP HANA, SAP ASE, and Oracle databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and reliability.  Monitor database performance metrics and troubleshoot issues to enhance system efficiency.  Develop and enforce database security policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry and internal company standards.  Develop and implement backup and recovery and high availability scenario and strategies for SAP System Databases  Work closely with SAP application teams and other stakeholders to align database management strategies with business needs.  Participate in project planning and implementation efforts related to database upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.  Analyze database usage trends and forecast future capacity requirements to ensure scalability.  Optimize database configurations and queries to improve performance and reduce resource consumption.  Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies. 

 

Required skills and Experience: 

 

10+ years of knowledge and experience in Database administration  Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and performance tuning.  Proficiency in SQL, database backup/recovery, and performance monitoring tools.  Experience with database security best practices and compliance regulations.  Experience with various tools like HANA cockpit, OEM, SQL developer etc.  Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation tasks.  University-level degree in IT or a related field.  Work experience in an international environment.  Good communication skills and previous experience communicating with senior management stakeholders
