Collaborate closely with different business functions to identify pain points and inefficiencies that can be solved using data, plan projects and tasks independently and run resulting projects.

Turn business requirements into technical solutions and requirements, act as the bridge between the business and the technical teams. 

Apply specific fit-for-purpose methods and implement analytics and processing algorithms.

Onboard data into database systems and implement data loads and data analysis; incl. backend development in SQL.

Operationalize models leveraging AWS micro services and set up optimal architectures for the data science projects in AWS.

Partner with colleagues to build and strengthen relationships with peers and stakeholders globally, working on initiatives and projects in different regions, while collaborating in an agile and cross-functional team with other Data Scientists, Automation experts, and business experts to deliver AMAZING solutions to our Roche peers and patients.

Performs demos, project reviews, and retrospectives; communicates ideas for team Analytics & Automation and willingly receives feedback for self-improvement.

Who you are

You’re someone who wants to influence your own development. You’re looking for a company where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point.

You have a Bachelor’s Degree (Masters is a plus) in mathematics, computer science, statistics, engineering, or information science. 

You have at least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a multicultural environment with global processes (Commercial, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, IT)

You have professional work experience in: 

Designing and developing data flows and ETL processes using modern storage solutions (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery). 

Applying advanced statistical methods and machine/deep learning algorithms to real world data.

You have professional work experience in at least one of the following programming languages/tools: Python, SQL, JavaScript, dbt. 

You are a strong team player with interpersonal skills and strong collaborative and solution-focused mindset. 

You possess strong communication, networking skills, you are someone who enjoys working with others and acts as a team player.

You want to contribute to solving business problems, taking on what tasks are necessary to make valuable solutions come to life. 

You have extensive experience with stakeholder management.

English is a must, additional languages are a plus.

Salary starts from 2300 EUR gross/monthly. Final salary depends on the successful candidate's level of experience, skills and qualifications.
