About the Role
The Data Engineer role performs complex research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products. This SWE performs software design — typically across multiple systems; mentors more-junior members of the team; and talks to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.
Responsibilities
Process and analyze large-scale datasets using SQL and database management systems.
Design, develop, and maintain data processing workflows using ETL tools and frameworks.
Proficient in programming, proficient in using Java and Python, and capable of asynchronous programming and multithreading.
Perform data processing and analysis on the AWS platform to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
Solve various technical challenges in the data processing process to ensure data quality and processing efficiency.
Design and execute API tests and conduct testing through automation frameworks such as TestNG, HttpClient, Selenium, etc.
Collaborate closely with team members to coordinate the resolution of technical and business issues.
Use Python for data processing, code performance optimization, and automated testing.
Proficient in Python-related data processing packages such as Pandas, NumPy, and data analysis and processing using databases such as MySQL.
Write Java code to handle related tasks and projects.
Candidates with experience in frontend and backend development or data visualization processing are preferred.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
Strong programming skills, proficient in Java and Python.
Familiar with SQL and database management systems, with experience in ETL tools and frameworks.
Proficient in using the AWS platform.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
English reading and writing abilities, with good communication skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
