Position Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other relevant services.Integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency, and prepare it for analytical and operational use.Adhere to data governance policies and processes to ensure data security, privacy, and compliance.Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business team members to understand data requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs.Stay current with the latest tools and technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance Manulife's data infrastructure.Work Arrangement: Hybrid setup, 3 On-Site Days/WeekShift schedule: Mid-Shift (3PM-12AM/4PM-1AM) , *depending on DST

Required Qualifications:

At least 6 years of relevant industry experience as a Data Engineer, with proficiency in building and operationalizing data pipelines in MS Azure, including intermediate skills in either Azure Data Factory or Azure Databricks.Intermediate proficiency in SQL Queries.Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational data modeling.Familiarity with programming in both compiled languages (Java, Scala) and scripting languages (Python, SQL, R), with a requirement for proficiency in either SQL or Python.Experience in automating data pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with DevOps and CICD pipelines.Working knowledge of ADLS gen 2, Synapse, and SQL Server.
