The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, and automating processes to enhance efficiency. This role requires a strong command of SQL, proficiency in Python, and experience with various database systems and cloud platforms. **Responsibilities** **1. Keeping Things Running:** + Manage data ingestion and integration processes to ensure smooth data flow. + Securely manage data output, ensuring efficient process flow. + Regularly refresh data sources in a timely manner. + Address data-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and data inconsistencies. + Optimize databases and ensure data security. + Assist with ad hoc data requests. **2. Making Processes Smoother and Automating Tasks:** + See opportunities to speed up data processing and improve efficiency. + Automate repetitive tasks to save time and reduce errors. + Ensure data consistency and accuracy. + Set up systems to handle routine tasks without constant oversight. **3. Ensuring Data Quality:** + Implement checks to catch errors and maintain data accuracy. + Clean and organize data to ensure it is in order. **4. Following Rules and Regulations:** + Ensure data handling stays in sync with legal and security requirements. + Monitor data quality over time to maintain high standards. **5. Exploring New Data:** + Analyze data to uncover new insights and understand its potential. + Assess data quality for various tasks and projects. **Qualifications** **Programming Languages:** + Strong command of SQL for querying, manipulating, and analyzing databases. + Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and building data pipelines. **Database Systems:** + Knowledge of various database systems for designing and optimizing schemas and queries. **ETL/ELT Processes:** + Ability to design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading. **Data Warehousing and Data Integration:** + Understanding of data warehousing concepts, including data mart design, star schemas, and data governance principles. + Experience with data integration techniques to combine data from disparate sources. **Data Pipeline Development:** + Experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines to ensure data integrity, reliability, and efficiency. **Cloud Platforms:** + Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, including services such as Amazon Redshift and AWS Glue. **Data Quality Assurance, Problem-Solving, and Troubleshooting Skills:** + Understanding of data quality best practices and techniques for data validation, cleansing, and enrichment. + Ability to analyze complex data-related problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions. + Capability to diagnose and resolve data engineering issues efficiently. **Communication and Collaboration:** + Clear communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. + Ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms. + Proficiency in documenting data engineering processes and solutions. **Additional information** Our Publicis Groupe motto “Viva La Différence” means we’re better together, and we believe that our differences make us stronger. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
