You Are:
As the Senior Data Architect, you will guide the data management and strategies across a new big data platform by leveraging Azure, Snowflake, and Power BI. You are an experienced technical leader and have built strategic direction for data engineering, reporting and analytics initiatives. You will develop a data platform strategy that aligns with the Business and enterprise architecture framework while optimizing the total cost of ownership
The Opportunity:
Lead the development and support the maintenance of conceptual, logical, and physical data models across all transactional, master data, and analytics platforms. In partnership with senior leadership, establishes overall vision and creates a culture that treats data as an asset and service Evaluate and recommend the technologies that are needed (for operational data stores, data lakes, data warehouses, data marts, and data stores while ensuring high levels of data availability Implement scalable and cost-effective architecture leveraging existing technologies (Cloud - Azure, Snowflake) and legacy solutions (SaaS, third-party, and homegrown). Build an open architecture with the recommended tools to enable the integration of different data management functions such as Data Ingestion, Migration, Streaming, Governance etc Provide strategic direction and oversee the integration of emerging tools and technologies for advanced analytics, including machine learning/data science, that drive business value. Develop conceptual, logical, and physical models for enterprise analytic applications, integrations, master data, and transactional applications and catalog the data models and data properly. Build solutions, including architecture, design, and implementation as needed. • Mentor and/or provide leadership to data engineers and data analysts of the scrum teams
What you need:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Computer-related discipline or equivalent experience required At least 10 years experience IT and/or engineering experience; applications integration development lifecycle, deployment, & support, proven technology leadership and the ability to get hands-on in analysis, design, and execution. At least 7 years experience with data architecture supporting data movement, BI, data management, data security, and governance. Solid experience in implementing solutions with Snowflake, designing and implementing solutions with Cloud technologies (Azure) and implementing frameworks such as data fabric data mesh. Azure Solutions Architect Certified, SnowPro Advanced Architect Certified or related certifications in Azure and Snowflake. Ability to communicate at all levels with both business and technology leaders with a strong understanding of business data requirements and technology capabilities.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Remote
Compensation Range: $161,000-242,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
