This role ensures that analytics teams can seamlessly access scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud services. You will use Terraform and modern automation practices to standardize resource creation, embed governance, and simplify onboarding for D&A projects. **Key Responsibilities** **D&A Platform Provisioning** - Design, implement, and maintain reusable Terraform modules to provision D&A services such as BigQuery, Dataproc, Databricks, Cloud Composer, GCS, Pub/Sub, and related IAM. - Automate onboarding of analytics projects, datasets, clusters, jobs, and permissions to enable self-service for data teams. - Implement tagging, labeling, and cost-allocation policies aligned with D&A FinOps practices. **Automation & Governance** - Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for Terraform deployments using GitHub Actions and Spacelift (or equivalent). - Apply policy-as-code and guardrails to ensure compliance, security, and governance for D&A infrastructure. - Standardize GitOps workflows for consistent, auditable, and peer-reviewed platform changes. **Reliability & Enablement** - Ensure platform resources follow best practices in scalability, cost efficiency, and reliability. - Collaborate with CloudOps, Security, and FinOps teams to align with enterprise standards while focusing on D&A needs. - Provide reusable patterns, documentation, and knowledge sharing to accelerate analytics project onboarding. **Required Skills & Experience** - Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with strong expertise in GCP data/analytics services. - Proven experience automating Databricks resources (clusters, jobs, users, ACLs) using Terraform. - Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD for IaC (Spacelift, Terraform Cloud, or similar tools). - Solid knowledge of IAM, org policies, and cost optimization in GCP. - Strong scripting and debugging skills to troubleshoot Terraform modules and automation pipelines. **Nice to Have** - Exposure to FinOps strategies: tagging standards, budget alerts, and cost governance. - Familiarity with SRE concepts applied to data platforms (SLOs, error budgets, monitoring, alerting). - HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate or Architect. - Experience with container orchestration (GKE/Kubernetes) and Cloud Composer is a plus. **Education / Certifications:** Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related fields.
