Senior Data Analyst - Enterprise Analytics
Senior Data Analyst - Enterprise Analytics Clive Analytics provides stakeholders with immediate BI access to data from Aon Connect (Oracle CRM). Our stakeholders include users of Aon Connect to executive leadership teams across Aon globally. The technical scope of the reporting team encompasses: + Data ETL Processes: This includes data replication (extraction), preparation (transformation), and integration into a comprehensive data model (load). We are currently operating within Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and are transitioning to Databricks. + Dashboard Support and Development: Responsibilities include constructing/building dashboards, advising on dashboard creation and visualization, and training both authors and consumers. We serve as catalysts and advisors in the dashboard development process. + User Engagement: This involves conducting demonstrations, gathering user requirements, and ensuring effective communication with end users. + Data Validation and Quality Assurance: Ensuring the reliability of data presented to end users is critical. This includes validating data and identifying configuration issues within Aon Connect. + Data and Analytics Support: In addition to Clive analytics, support will also include other parts of the business the Enterprise Analytics manages. + Technology Transition: Dashboards and reports are currently developed in Oracle Analytics Cloud, with a planned migration to Power BI in Q3. In addition to technical skills, the team values soft skills such as brand compliance, effective documentation, and communication through various channels (e.g., standard welcome emails, Teams, Aon Avenue). Managing the case queue and issue tracker is also part of the team's responsibilities. While primarily utilizing Aon Connect and Eloqua data, the team is also tasked with augmenting and enriching this data with additional sources and employing other business intelligence tools as needed. Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee the dashboard lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder needs. Dashboard Lifecycle Management + Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of dashboards: + Collaborate with collaborators to gather and refine requirements for dashboards. + Translate requirements into robust data models and visualizations. + Collaborate with team members and other groups to acquire necessary data and build data models. + Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure dashboard accuracy. + Critically review requests, challenging customers when necessary, and ask clarifying questions to avoid assumptions. + Work effectively both independently and as part of a project team. + Provide support for other team functions Maintenance and Improvement + Oversee and manage 'Steady State Operations' to ensure seamless functionality. + Maintain data integrity and ensure regular data backups. + Continuously review and update existing dashboards to align with current standards and branding. + Address and resolve data-related issues and user inquiries, applying case management and issue tracking systems. + Monitor operational efficiency and generate reports on performance metrics. Training and Internal Communication + Conduct training sessions for both dashboard authors and consumers. + Deliver demonstrations to potential new users and leadership teams. + Develop and update training materials, including documentation and instructional videos. + Stay informed on industry trends and advancements through ongoing training and professional development. Development & Innovation + Drive innovation by exploring and implementing new features to enhance Clive IQ. + Conduct sentiment analysis to derive insights from data. + Apply machine learning techniques and predictive modeling to advance analytics capabilities.
