This role will support Enterprise Customer Profitability (a.k.a. Profit), which is an enterprise application and authorized data source which produces risk adjusted profitability data for ~ 210MM customer accounts each month utilizing instrument level operational data. The scope of enterprise customer profitability spans the following lines of business:
Retail and PreferredMerrillPrivate BankBusiness BankingGlobal Commercial BankGlobal Corporate and Investment BankingGlobal MarketsAs a member of the Enterprise Customer Profitability (ECP) team, this associate will support data analytics and controls, business partner education and consultation including support for research and ad hoc requests, financial transparency into Profit and General Ledger differences, change projects, and process improvements. Primary area of support will be Investments and Deposits products.
Primary responsibilities include:
Support Profit monthly production with analysis, execution of controls and communications to ensure timely and accurate data deliveryDemonstrate proficiency of Profit methodologies, logic, data lineage and understand strategic uses of customer profitability dataField user questions regarding differences between Profit and General Ledger dataPresent to business partners including senior management to improve overall understanding of Profit data and the benefits it providesPartner with Line of Business Finance, Operations, Marketing and Tech Teams – to understand and/or identify opportunities for integrating Profit data into internal management routinesParticipate in developing requirements, supporting design and execute testing for Profit changesRequired Qualifications
5+ years of finance support experience in the banking/financial services industryStrong finance acumen with understanding of banking products and financial statementsStrong research & analytic skills using querying tools and ExcelAbility to translate data into information and create the ‘story’ for end usersExcellent written and oral communication and presentation skillsSelf-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks/responsibilities simultaneouslyAbility to build strong working relationships to effectively navigate across the ECP organization and with various business partnersDesired Qualifications
Accounting, Finance or Business degree, preferredExperience working with cross functional technology, product and finance teamsSQL knowledge, a plusFamiliarity with Bank of America’s financial reporting tools (i.e., eLedger), a plusUsage and familiarity with Enterprise Customer Profitability (Profit) data, a plusSkills:
