We are looking for an exceptional and experienced Sr Customer Quality Engineer who can be:

Accountable for ensuring communications of Quality and Reliability performance of MKS Lasers products delivered to customers in Japan and MKS Lases factories are accurate and comprehensive in a timely and expedient manner.Responsible for understanding and identifying issues related to product performance, quality and reliability as delivered and operated at our customers in Japan.Responsible for interfacing with key customers to assure customer satisfaction, review customer scorecards and other feedback and communicating back to MKS Lasers teams.Responsible for successfully driving resolution of customer quality and reliability related complaints and RMAs.Responsible for reviewing and understanding our customers specifications, product test requirements for communicating back to MKS Lasers teams.Responsible for tracking field failure rates of our delivered products to our customers in Japan.

Qualification:

Minimum BS in physics, materials science, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering or equivalent.Technical knowledge applicable to photonics, optics, opto-mechanical and electro-optical, lasers and motion/vibration control (highly desirable)8+ years of hands-on working experience in lasers, photonics and optics industry.Minimum 5 years in Customer-Supplier interaction experienceExperience in the field of Laser/ Optics / Semiconductor manufacturing process such as testing, manufacturing and quality control.Experience with Quality and Reliability methodologies and tools such as 8D, FAI, FMEA, DMAIC, Gage R&R, DFx, DOE, Six Sigma, MSA etc. Effectively communicate with internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing, to achieve required results.Understanding of clean room environment and high technology manufacturing.Fluent in Japanese and strong in English languageTravel overseas or domestic up to 10% of the time.Experience with Audits.Fluent in 8D methodology, able to lead to identify root cause(s), recommend action plans for preventive solutions and drive implementation and report effectiveness. Identify opportunities for improvements and coordinate with other departments to implement process changes.Customer / Supplier interaction experienceEffectively and efficiently utilize Microsoft Office and other computer products and programsPrevious work experience in manufacturing, sustaining Engineering and R&DASQ CQE, CQM, Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015, LEAN, SIX SIGMAAnalyze, compile, review and regularly report customer quality metrics such as PPM/ 0km performance.ISO 9001 standard and certified QMS auditor will be an advantage
