We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Criminal Justice Practitioner to join our Waltham Forest team who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 per week
Full Time Salary Range: £32,002.35 - £34,214.21 dependent on experience, pro rata for part time hours
Allowance: £2195.72 Outer London Weighting

Responsibilities.
About the role:
Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey using a whole family approachReducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community Promoting carer, service user and community involvement and sign posting for wider family interventionsProviding advocacy for access to partnership services Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, family relationships, peer support and self-determination Work in partnership with ProbationDeliver DRR/ATR intervention in line with National Probation Service (NPS) courtorder requirementsProvide a seamless link between police/court custody suites, prison, and the communityProvide information for courts and other criminal justice agencies of suitability for drug
treatment interventions Provide recovery planning and review, as well as structured group work within the
Foundations of Recovery/Rehabilitation framework if needed
About you:
Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within criminal justice or related fieldKnowledge of the Criminal Justice systemExperience of working within Criminal Justice PartnershipsKnowledge of effective interventions that lead to reduction in drug related crimeExperience of supporting and advising participants with complex and/or multiple barriers to successBe an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholdersAbility to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguardsWhat we will give to you:
