Description We are looking for a Senior Credit & Collections Specialist to join our team in Puyallup, Washington. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take a leadership position in credit and collections operations, ensuring smooth financial processes and effective customer account management. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in commercial credit and collections while demonstrating strong analytical and negotiation skills. Responsibilities: • Manage the credit approval process, including assessing credit applications and establishing terms that align with company policies. • Oversee collections activities, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue accounts and negotiating payment plans as needed. • Apply and release liens, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with regulations. • Process payments and maintain up-to-date customer account information in financial systems. • Conduct credit analysis to evaluate risk and make informed recommendations to management. • Collaborate with the team to streamline procedures and improve operational efficiency within the credit and collections department. • Utilize systems such as Dynamics and Integra to manage data and support decision-making processes. • Communicate effectively with customers to resolve disputes and maintain positive business relationships. • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members starting their careers, contributing to their growth and development. • Support the transition of leadership roles within the department by ensuring continuity and knowledge sharing. The salary range for this position is $79k to $87.5k. Benefits available with this position include medical, dental and vision; life and disability insurances; participation in the company’s 401(k) plan with 5% match and 10 days of paid vacation, 7 days of paid sick leave and 9 paid holidays per calendar year. Requirements • Proven experience in commercial credit and collections, with a strong understanding of financial procedures. • Proficiency in credit analysis and the ability to approve credit terms based on risk assessment. • Familiarity with lien processes, including application, release, and waiver documentation. • Skilled in using financial systems such as Dynamics and Integra to manage credit operations. • Excellent negotiation skills for resolving payment disputes and establishing payment plans. • Strong organizational abilities to handle multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively. • Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and interact with customers. • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
