Overview The Senior Counsel will support and assist Assistant General Counsel with day-to-day legal work in support of the Catalyst Brand business. Responsibilities Provide legal and strategic advice and counsel to internal clients and legal colleagues on a range of employment issues, including, compensation and benefits, performance management, reorganizations, accommodations and leaves of absence, wage and hour law, contingent workforce, and ethics issues. Assist with legal research and strategy regarding employment litigation, in support of the litigation team members. Handle attorney demand letters, administrative charges, and oversee outside counsel on same, where applicable. Drive and support on cross-functional projects to improve our employment policies and practices to ensure compliance with business objectives and federal, state and local laws. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, partnership agreements, BAAs, and confidentiality agreements. Review and update contract templates and user terms in light of legal developments and the evolution of the company’s operations. Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, procurement, privacy and security and operations, to support business objectives through effective vendor contract review and management. Review advertising and promotional materials across all forms of content to monitor for marketing and regulatory issues. Proactively identify and assess potential legal and/or reputational risk in support of business partners and recommend practical, creative solutions that balance legal risk with business impact.
