Senior Cost Manager – JLL
What this job involves: As a Senior Cost Manager at JLL, you will serve as a senior leader responsible for managing complex projects and programs while developing and mentoring team members. You'll leverage your advanced subject matter expertise to drive successful project implementations, innovate new concepts, and enhance service quality. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills as you will be accountable for client service, P&L team strategy, and business development. You'll represent JLL at industry events, contribute to the firm's reputation, and implement best practices that enhance our capabilities. Your expertise will help shape the future of our Project & Development Services (PDS) business while delivering exceptional results for our clients.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Leading project controls for multiple engagements, including large-scale complex projects simultaneouslyPartnering with team members to execute complex projects through all stages of developmentPresenting to key stakeholders across project teams and maintaining clear client communicationsPreparing detailed construction and project cost estimates from conceptual design through final documentsProviding value engineering services and design option reviews based on market expertiseIdentifying and analyzing potential risks while developing effective mitigation strategiesCoordinating with stakeholders to gather data and provide accurate, timely project status updatesPreparing bid analyses, conducting reconciliations, and managing the change order review processGenerating progress reports and conducting periodic project audits to identify process deviationsApplying subject matter expertise to support the global community of practiceMentoring team members and direct reports to develop their capabilitiesRequired Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of industry-specific requirements and their impact on design and constructionStrong leadership experience with ability to mentor, develop and oversee team membersProven track record of successful program/complex project management and operationsExcellent communication skills with ability to navigate difficult and complex client conversationsExperience developing and implementing P&L team strategies aligned with business objectivesDemonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationshipsExperience with project controls, cost estimating, and risk managementAbility to travel approximately 25% of the time (may fluctuate)Preferred Qualifications:
Industry-recognized credentials and/or certificationsExperience sourcing new business and supporting pursuit strategiesBackground presenting at industry conferences and contributing to media contentKnowledge of local market pricing for materials, labor, and equipmentExperience conducting market studies and analyzing construction dataFamiliarity with PDS processes, systems, and reporting requirementsTrack record of innovation and implementing best practicesEstimated total compensation for this position:
130,000.00 – 170,000.00 USD per yearThe total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
