POSITION: SENIOR COST ACCOUNTANT

INDUSTRY: MANUFACTURING

LOCATION: CHARDON, OH

We are seeking an Senior Cost Accountant for a well established manufacturing company located in Chardon, OH. This is an in-office position. This person will be responsible for managing financial reporting, reconciliations and audits along with inventory/cost analysis reporting and recommendations to improve cost efficiencies and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support A/R and A/P staff

Manage invoicing, payments, bank reconciliations, and cash forecasting

Maintain general ledger accuracy and prepare monthly journal entries

Lead balance sheet reconciliations and audit preparation

Ensure tax compliance (state, local, franchise)

Analyze cost data, inventory, and production variances

Prepare cost reports and KPIs to support profitability

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)

5+ years in cost accounting/management in manufacturing

Strong knowledge of GAAP, GL, and financial controls

Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office

Excellent organizational and leadership skills
