About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Corporate Insurance Consultant as part of the Commercial Mortgage Servicing (CMS) division within Commercial Banking Operations. This team supports and administers risk management and loss prevention programs, such as property and casualty insurance and product liability service, to attain maximum protection at the most economical rates. Does not include responsibility for insured employee benefit plans.
The Senior Corporate Insurance Consultant will support tasks such as collecting payment on invoices, send refunds on overages and work directly with insurance vendors. You will also be responsible for helping manage the group mailbox, run escrow analysis and support the portfolio held loans by reviewing commercial loan documents. In this role, you will:
Support line of business regarding commercial insurance payments and property disbursement process (payment of insurance invoices, reimbursement requests and escrow analysis), administrative responsibilities, and reaching out via phone to confirm writing instructions, handle escalations, etc.
Manage multiple priorities and provide customer service
Deliver feedback and recommend solutions to improve processes and tools within insurance management
Perform complex tasks such as research, review, analyze, and recommend actions related to commercial property insurance with exposure to sensitive information
Provide subject matter expertise and interpretation of procedures
Act as first point of contact for all parties regarding commercial property disbursement process
Interact with managers, individuals including insurance agents and companies, Lenders, and Special Servicers on the disbursement process
Collaborate with offshore team in resolving exceptions and use specific criteria to quality assure and report metric results and feedback on a weekly/monthly basis. Collaborates with management in the formulation of work procedures, policies, and methods to ensure compliance with Wells Fargo, legal, investor, regulatory, and business policies, which directly affect the work unit and other departments
Handle special projects that primarily impact his/her functional area or specific department
Escalate issues, evaluate, and process borrowers’ servicing requests in conjunction with asset managers, internal and external counsel, and business partners, and ensure quality customer service is provided to internal/external customers
Conduct quality assurance of loans to ensure process and procedures for each department function are being followed
Provide assistance and guidance to junior level staff
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Corporate Insurable Risk Management, Risk Management Consulting, Property or Casualty Insurance, or Insurance Brokerage experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
4+ years of commercial insurance experience
2+ years of mentoring and/or leadership experience
Ability to research, compile, and perform complex analysis on critical operational data
Advanced knowledge and understanding of operations policies and procedures
Ability to provide strong customer service to develop customer relationships and resolution skills
Ability to independently provide summaries and make strategic recommendations on operational data
Ability to partner and coordinate with other functions of the business
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Outstanding technical and critical thinking skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
