Operating under general supervision, and with a high level of autonomy, this role uses knowledge and skills obtained through education, training and / or prior experience to assist with both the underwriting of new Commercial Real Estate (“CRE”) transactions, as well as monitoring an active portfolio of existing CRE loans.
This role resides at Raymond James Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Raymond James Financial (NYSE: RJF / Fortune 400), within the Corporate & Real Estate Banking Division. Herein, the CRE Business Unit includes primary offices in St. Petersburg, FL and NYC, with an additional footprint in San Francisco, CA.
Specifically, the position will be located at Raymond James Bank’s Home Office in St. Petersburg, FL, where you’ll work alongside a seasoned team of CRE professionals, including both Banking Officers and other Credit Associates. The CRE Business Unit focuses on institutional-quality lending, including syndicated loan arrangements (secured by both Project Secured Loans and facilities to Real Estate Investment Trusts “REITs”), as well as direct lending to RJF clients.

**Job Description**
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Assists with the development, structure, negotiation and closing of CRE transactions secured by high quality assets throughout the United States.
+ Oversees a dedicated portfolio of assigned CRE loans, monitoring loan grading and credit quality on regular basis
+ Researches and analyzes financial statements, interprets findings, and prepares various reports for senior management and credit.
+ Prepares detailed Cash Flow projections at both the REIT and project level utilizing Excel and third-party modeling software (i.e., Argus).
+ Performs demand analysis and market research to evaluate new loan transaction opportunities, utilizing third party diligence tools, etc.
+ Prepares and delivers written and oral presentations relating to CRE transactions.
+ Maintains accurate and organized documentation and monitors compliance with terms of loans and accounts
+ Prepares report evaluations ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable State, Federal, agency and investor guidelines.
+ Coaches and mentors new associates within the department.
+ Joins in deal discussions as is related to potential syndicated and direct loan opportunities.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
**Knowledge of**
+ Advanced concepts, practices and procedures of CRE credit analysis.
+ Finance and/or accounting principles, practices and procedures
+ Federal and State laws.
**Skill in**
+ Preparing complex financial position and credit reports.
+ Reading, interpreting, analyzing and applying information from credit reports, P&L / BS statements, rent rolls, appraisals, construction.
+ Researching, interpreting and analyzing complex financial statements.
+ Structuring, negotiating, underwriting and closing loan transactions.
+ Generating Cash Flow projection
+ Maintaining documentation files.
+ Monitoring compliance on loans and accounts.
+ Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable State, Federal, agency and investor guidelines.
+ Preparing and delivering oral and written presentations
+ Performing market and transaction due diligence.
+ Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications.
+ Excel modeling and computation.
