Job Overview:
The Senior Coordinator, Learning and Development Coordinator role is an exciting opportunity to work with the Learning and Development team. Under the direction of the L&D Senior Manager, the successful candidate will coordinate, manage, and facilitate a wide range of training programs supporting staff at Specialty Health Network
Logistics and CoordinationManages all logistics and coordination of training programs, onboarding and initiativesCreate reports and track departmental data on resource allocation for training across
multiple business units within SDMSHNReconcile budget for training expenses and arrange distribution of training suppliesFacilitate various virtual trainings for small and large groups including onboarding and check-in sessions to test the functionality of equipment. Test login access and access to network with new hiresWork with a variety of staff at various levels in SDMSHN and within the Loblaw/SDM Corporation to coordinate the scheduling of all training initiatives and onboarding sessions
Management of training content, schedules, and learning profilesMaintain, publish and communicate the training calendar and update training curriculum database for L&D SDMSHN training sessionsManagement and maintenance of training and orientation materials, and learning profilesManage virtual and in-person classroom setup, facilities logistics, material reproduction and distribution. Ensure building rooms and meeting rooms are booked and prepared.Collaborate with internal and external vendors on eLearning assets for Learning Management System and SharePointManage learners’ training schedules, monitor, and report on their attendance and assessment resultsCommunicate detailed training requirements, expectations, and timelines to SDMSHN participants, facilitators, and managersCollaborate with clients and L&D team to identify training priorities and analyze business needs such as class size and availability of training resources scheduling sessions to maximize efficiency.
Evaluation of Training Design and apply assessment tools to evaluate training deliverables against objectives/KPI's, to measure effectiveness and to ensure continuous improvementPrepare and present recommendations for training and coaching improvements based on assessments, data, and survey results
Other Duties
The Senior Coordinator, Learning & Development will also carry out other duties and projects as required, to be delegated by the Senior Manager, Learning & Development and Manager, Learning & Development
Qualifications and SkillsPost-secondary degree/diploma in adult education/project management/communications or related field or industry experienceExperience with Microsoft Word, Excel, OneNote, Power Point, Teams, SharePoint meeting requiredExperience with data mining, preparing reports, presenting information to stakeholdersPrevious work experience in a coordination or administrative role requiredKnowledge of adult learning, curriculum development, learning management systems and learning methodologies is an asset.Must have excellent interpersonal, presentation, problem solving and decision-making skills and superior oral and written communication and time management skillsWhy work at Shoppers Drug Mart?
