PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Global Controlling team has an opening for (Senior) Controller who is passionate about the cloud business and enjoys working with numbers & want to do their part to support the SAP Strategy in helping the world run better and improving people´s live.
The team is responsible to actively manage the P&L for SAP’s engineering units and being a business partner for its leaders. To successfully manage this task and to further strengthen our support for our business units we are looking for a (Senior) Controller.
As a (Senior) Controller you will be an active member of the team supporting the full range of controlling tasks that need to be covered by the team
EXPECTATIONS AND TASK
Financial Management & Compliance: Lead forecasting, budgeting, and cost allocation processes, ensuring alignment with financial guidelines and fostering transparency. Business Partnership & Insights: Build and maintain robust partnerships with senior leadership, providing comprehensive financial analysis, key insights, and actionable recommendations to meet financial targets and mitigate risks. Process Improvement & Projects: Champion process simplification, automation, and the integration of agile methodologies within the Controlling function, focusing on Engineering and Support business areas. Strategic Support: Develop and validate strategic and operational business cases, supporting transformational initiatives and ensuring these align with organizational priorities
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIE
Work Experience: Proven experience of 5 or more years in Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Management, or a related role within a global company. Degree: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA) are a plus. Analytical Acumen: Demonstrated strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy in reporting and compliance. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced skills in Excel and other data analysis tools. Financial Expertise: Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, including international accounting standards. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders and convey financial information clearly and concisely. Team Collaboration: Ability to work independently and as part of a larger finance team, with a collaborative mindset.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in both written and verbal English; proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
