Job ResponsibilitiesYour Main Responsibilities Include
1. Develop power conversion control (PCC) strategies for grid power converters, inverters, and battery energy storage systems.
2. Develop software solutions for real-time controllers using graphical and textual programming.
3. Provide maintenance and support for existing applications and grid code tests at our labs and at our customer premises.
4. Facilitate development of use case specifications with internal and external customers.
5. Take part in machine start-ups at customer sites or at Danfoss´ test tracks.
6. Participate in design reviews, FMEAs and Safety Analysis and Hazard and Risk Assessments.
7. Participate in global cross functional project teams.
8. Coordinate with various departments, software development teams and system engineers for the extensive testing and validation of the PCC strategies.
Background & SkillsTo Be Considered For This Position, You Need To Have a Bachelor’s Or Master’s Degree In Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Or a Related Field, And You Have a Strong Interest And Experience In Control System Design And Implementation, Preferably In The Field Of Grid Connected Inverters Or Motor Control. Furthermore, You Have
1. Master’s or PhD degree in Power Electronics.
2. 5+ years of experience in PCC software development.
3. In depth knowledge of simulation and programming in MATLAB & Simulink.
4. Knowledge of Python programming.
5. Knowledge of power electronic control strategies for bidirectional power converters, DC-DC power converters, and energy storage systems.
6. Knowledge of multilevel (2-3 levels) inverter topology, grid following, and grid forming strategies.
7. Experience with coding and ability to write and understand C and C++.
8. Effective problem-solving, collaborative, and team working/management skills.
9. Outstanding oral and written communication skills in English
Preferred qualifications (in addition to the required qualifications):
1. Simulation experience in PSCAD or DIGSilent PowerFactory or PSS/E.
2. Experience in Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) systems, robot framework, Azure Devops, git for version contro
