We are seeking a Senior Continuing Engineer - Electrical
to lead continuous improvement initiatives for fielded products. This role involves managing complex engineering projects, collaborating across departments, and driving innovative solutions that align with business goals. You will be instrumental in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and regulatory compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and test field returns to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.Lead multiple complex engineering projects using advanced design methodologies.Ensure system integration and architectural consistency across projects.Design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot embedded electronics and firmware.Support product risk analysis, usability, verification, and certification efforts.Evaluate and assist in the fabrication of prototype PCBAs and electrical mockups.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address project challenges and develop solutions.Prepare and present project updates and design reviews.Research and propose innovative technologies to enhance development processes.Identify opportunities for IP protection and assist in patent development.Maintain professional communication and consistent messaging across deliverables.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.10+ years of experience in product design within medical, consumer, automotive, or aerospace industries.Expertise in embedded systems, PCBA manufacturing, and power electronics.Proficiency in firmware development (IAR, VS Code, C, Assembly).Experience with communication protocols (CAN, LIN, USB, Bluetooth).Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps and web portal software.Skilled in revision control and release software (GitHub).Demonstrated success in both large and entrepreneurial environments.Experience with DFMEA and risk-based design strategies.Knowledge of agency certifications (ISO, IEC, AAMI, UL, CE, CISPR, FCC, FDA).Prior experience with standards like 62304 and 60601 family.Experience with certification bodies (Intertek, UL, TUV).Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, Monday, Todoist).Strong financial acumen and interpersonal communication skills.Background in healthcare product development or federally regulated industries.Preferred SkillsHands-on experience with hardware (Altium) and embedded firmware (STM32, C).Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.Effective application of industry standards and continuous skill development.Ability to manage client relationships and project communications.It is the policy of Agiliti to provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, physical or mental disability, genetic information, marital status, status as a veteran, military service, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local civil rights laws.
